PRIVACY POLICY

Status of this notice
This is a pre-launch privacy notice for SÖM BIOMECHANICS. The controller’s full legal identity, registered address and dedicated privacy email will be inserted before the store is opened to the public. Until then, privacy enquiries can be submitted through the Contact page.

Information we collect
We may collect contact and delivery details; account and order information; payment confirmation and fraud-prevention signals; communications and support requests; device, browser, cookie and usage data; and marketing preferences. Payment card details are processed by payment providers and are not stored by us in full.

How and why we use information
We use personal information to fulfil orders and provide support (contract); prevent fraud, secure and improve the store and keep business records (legitimate interests); comply with tax, accounting and consumer-law duties (legal obligation); and send optional marketing or use non-essential cookies where you have consented (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who receives information
We share only what is necessary with service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, fulfilment partners, carriers, customer-support, analytics and professional advisers; with authorities where legally required; and with a buyer or successor in a genuine business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers
Some providers and fulfilment partners may process information outside the UK. Where required, we use an adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard.

Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, including legal, tax, accounting, warranty, dispute and fraud-prevention requirements. Retention periods vary by record type. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required.

Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Cookies
Essential cookies operate the store and do not require consent. Analytics, personalisation and advertising cookies are used only where allowed and, where required, after consent. You can change choices using the store’s cookie controls or browser settings. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.

Security and children
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online system is completely secure. This store is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s data without appropriate authorisation.

Updates and contact
We may update this notice when our practices or the law change. Use the Contact page for privacy questions or rights requests.
